I saw some blue sky through the window from my bedroom and once we were both up we decided to go for a drive to Noosa.

The route took us back to Landsborough and then up the Bruce highway. The temperature increased as we descended from the hills and it was quite warm by the end of the journey. On the way we passed some wetlands before reaching Tewantin where we stopped briefly and had a walk to the river.
We headed on to Noosa and to Hastings Street which is the main drag along the water front. More expensive dress shops and restaurants,so we held off on lunch but did have an ice cream. We walked to the end of the street, down to the beach.
Then we headed back to the parking lot at the edge of Noosa Woods and to the picnic area there on the edge of the canal. There's a lot of water front around here with river, islands and canals. By then I was too hot in my Track pants so change to shorts. We then drove the rest of the way through Noosa Woods towards the heads. The colour of the water was quite startling and we could see the strength of the current there when a couple of people jumped in from the rocks.
From there, we headed up to the top of the hill to the lookout in the National park, which gave a view of the beach, the heads, the canals and through to the mountains in the distance. We then drove back along the coast for some way before heading inland to Nambour and then back through the mountains to Maleny, passing again through Montville. We stopped at Mapleton, intending to have lunch but the hotel would not allow dogs and the pizza place was closed until Wednesday.Once home we did what we did best - had a nap. Our plans to go to a club that night fell in abeyance mostly due to apathy.
