Our match was 4-40 today so we had the morning off. I scouted round the shops for presents and decided to print off the photo of my buddies ( as shown on a previous blog) and give them each a copy in a frame. Couldn't find what I wanted for my secret friend.

We met for coffee at 10-30 to decide on coach and manager gifts and to work out our skit.

We played Victoria again and we disappointed to lose 0-1. They scored off a flick which came from a short corner, which was an upgrade from a free outside the circle when one of our players knocked the ball away, so we sort of a shot ourselves in the foot. They got a second click but Alene saved it. We played well but just couldn't score. We had 5 short corners but only got one shot away.

Tomorrow we play the consolation match to decide 3rd and 4th against Queensland.

The all-teams gathering by the pool started at 6 but we were only just back at the hotel by then. Our pool session was cancelled since the pool was closed so we showered and went out to get some food. I just got Nandos. When I got to the pool, the 40s were doing their skit based on dragon boat racing , then the 45s did a song. I gave my buddies their photos and received a notebook, some chocolates and a towel from them. After a break, the 50s did their skit with Jilly and Meg getting dressed for a night out silloetted on a sheet. Needless to say when revealed they weren't quite as expected.

Our skit was the julkie Andrews modified version of Favourite things about botox broken hips and so forth. We used towels as incontinence pads and sticks as walking sticks plus a few other props. I cane back realtively early, then Macca but Alene seems to be partying on.
